I have decided that tracking numbers are evil. Under the guise that they are to be used so we can watch our shipment as it approaches our house, I think they were actually designed by shipping companies as a way to taunt us.
I bought a new digital camera (Canon SD500) and it was shipped from New York City at 6:02 PM on Friday July 7. It arrived in Baltimore at 8:51 AM on the 8th. I check my computer every few hours hoping to see a "Departure Scan," signaling that it has left Baltimore and is on its way to my home. Instead, it continues to mock me. I am sure that UPS and Canon are laughing their mischievous digital laugh right now.
